Winnunga Nimmityjah AHS is an Aboriginal community controlled primary health care service operated by the Aboriginal community of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Winnunga sees around 3000 clients per year, with a growth rate of about 80 new patients per month. Winnunga's primary purpose is to provide culturally safe and holistic health services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the ACT and surrounding areas. Winnunga offers a range of clinical services and programs:

General Practitioners, Aboriginal Health Workers and practice nurses; Social health services - social and emotional wellbeing, substance misuse and Bringing Them Home counselling; carer support; needle syringe program; parenting programs; transport service; and a home maintenance program; Youth diversion program; Outreach for Aboriginal people in custody (Goulburn and Cooma Prisons, and Bimberi Youth Justice Centre, Alexander Maconochie Centre); Dental services; Otitis Media Program; Aboriginal Midwifery Access Program; Healthy for Life Program - a national initiative to reduce the burden of disease in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers, babies and children, and in clients with chronic disease; and Medical Student Education Program - Winnunga currently has the highest number of medical student placements of any Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation.
