WelcomeWinnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Services is charitable non profit organisation. All donations over $2.00 to Winnunga are tax deductable. This site is designed to provide general information about our services and what we can provide for the community. Special EventsANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)All members of the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service are invited to attend the AGM to be held at the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service, 63 Boolimba Crescent, Narrabundah, ACT on Wednesday 17 January 2007. Membership renewal forms and nomination forms are available from Reception at the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service, 63 Boolimba Crescent Narrabundah prior to the meeting. A $2.00 membership fee is due and payable prior to the AGM. For any enquiries please contact Reception on 02 6284 6222. NO MORE BUNDAH PROGRAMThe No More Bundah program has been setup to assist community members to quit smoking safely. The next No More Bundah program commences 13 February 2007. For more information and an application for to join the program please call Roxie or Harold on 02 6284 6222. ACT Government Mobile Library Visiting WinnungaThe Mobile Library visits Winnunga on a monthly basis, the next visit will be advised in January 2007. Any member of the ACT Public Library may use the Mobile Library, people may join the library on the bus and all services are free. For more information about the Mobile Library visit their home page at http://www.library.act.gov.au/community/mobile Winnunga NimmityjahWinnunga Nummityjah in Wiradjuri language means Strong in Health. The service logo is the Corroboree Frog which is significant to Aboriginal people in the ACT. Winnunga Nummityjah is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service with a board comprising of 6 Aboriginal people elected by the community. Vision statementTo provide a culturally safe holistic health service for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the ACT and surrounding areas.
